Joe Hisaishi – One Summer’s Day
blue roses are the poignant thoughts of the sky;
“In some cultures, blue roses traditionally signify a mystery, or attaining the impossible. They are believed to be able to grant the owner youth or grant wishes. Historically, this symbolism derives from the rose’s meaning in the language of flowers common in Victorian times. Elaborate use of this symbolism is adopted by Ken Roberts in his book “A Rich Man’s Secret”. In Chinese folklore, the blue rose signifies hope against unattainable love.”

Blue rosed a blue sky
by KGYY
Blue roses are the poignant thoughts of the sky
it’s petals carressing a dark hollow blue within-
And to look into it, is but to feel another sky open
Like a blossoming flower, petal after petal.
A petal peeled from it,
is like taking a slice of the sky,
and to give it whole to someone,
is to render thou over heavens.
But i do.
I do love you more-
For you are more real to me,
Thus a blue rose is nothing more than a blue rose-
Symbolically, its like the overarching sky,
but thy can never touch it more than i can touched you.
So i gave the sky to you,
My everything, my mystery, my mastery,
To muster that waiting : Await you to sink eyes into that dark blue core,
and relinquish in the beauty that i saw,
pulsing in my heart, that blueness!
Ah joy! To see a blue sky without gazing upwards,
To behold a blue sky, by the green stem,
and the hanging want for it to last forever.
I shudder in that thought,
I melt in it’s beauty,
A song that makes me tingle at every beat,
a relief to the harsh cold world;
Oh glorious blue rose – Forgive my foolish intrepidity -
To pour my soul within,
hoping that i could soar in it.
